This is the perfect craft that's sweet, chic and colorful - plus, it's so easy, you can make as many as you wish! It's very simple, and you only need a metal tin and a few other supplies to craft one.
I've always been a fan of using Altoids tins for crafting. They're fun to decorate, easy to find, and no matter which project you do, these little tins look terrific!
This is a great DIY to try right now, since you can easily use supplies you already have, or are quick and affordable to come by.
Have multiple tins at home?
There are so many ways to re-purpose a mint tin, and you can do as many versions of this DIY as you like to use any stray tins you find!
Love the DIY but can't find any Altoids in the house? I actually purchased the tins featured here online.
You can purchase empty or 'blank' ones, so even if you don't like mints, you can still have fun with the cute tin box!
For the backdrop paper of each tin, I went with solid colors. The cottage paper I used had a lot of color, so I wanted them to really pop!
I used light patterned paper for the inside - whatever you think goes with the theme of your Tiny House!
I used scrapbook paper that had a pattern of houses already printed on it, but drawing a house, and using it in place of a store bought paper would look fab too!
Personalize it! Swap out the house for a castle, shop, or treehouse!
Have fun adding little cactus plants, clouds, or even 3D embellishments such as rhinestones or sequins!
Step One: With a pencil, trace around the top and bottoms of the mint tin on decorative paper of choice. Repeat with interior top and bottom of tin.
Step Two: Cut out the traced papers and glue onto tin top, bottom and insides. If you like, use a paint brush to smooth the paper down and get rid of any excess glue or air bubbles.
Step Three: Cut out houses and decorative elements of choice and glue/Mod Podge onto tin.
Step Four: Using a foam brush or paintbrush, paint a coat of Mod Podge over your paper-covered tin. The Mod Podge dries clear, and gives it a finished look, and it keeps your tin looking new!
Step Five: Add desired stickers/ embellishments to the tin.
Step Six (optional) : Add letter/word stickers if desired, to your house tin.
Voila! You've completed your DIY! Artsy, adorable and useful - Altoid tin crafts are so fun!

I had fun adding letter stickers and stickers with words to mine- a cute saying, initials or inspirational word is always a nice addition!
This is such a pretty little project that doesn't take up a lot of space or require a lot of supplies to create, but has the best result!
Another fabulous part about this craft is that it's so simple, yet customizable, so you can dream up an endless amount of tins with different backgrounds, themes and more!
