Over the years, we have added to the fun, and this is what we have on our list so far!


Many of these things we did this past Valentine's Day, and we're still hoping to add to that because one day is just a bit short for these two bloggers to fit it all in!


Besides, extending a holiday that has chocolate, love, cards and roses involved sounds like a pretty good idea, don't you think?!

We love to make cards every year and it's hands down one of our favorite Valentine's Day traditions!


If you're looking for some ideas, our 14 Fun Valentine's Day cards to DIY has fabulous inspiration for all ages!


They don't have to be the most elaborate creations in the world to be heartfelt and fun to create and send!

2. Put Together Some Sweet Treats to Share

Whether it's for classmates, friends, neighbors or the mailman, everyone loves a sweet treat Valentine!


A mini package with M&Ms, chocolate kisses or P.B. cups are a fun way to spread some holiday cheer around for the special day!

3. Treat Yourself to Something Sweet

Go to the special chocolate counter and get the really good chocolates!


We visited our nearby specialty gifts and chocolate shop and always find more than a few decadent bites we want to try!


That little white chocolate critter hiding behind the brittle is a truffle mouse!


We love the look of conversation hearts-- a Valentine's Day classic!


4. Visit the Toy Store

We like to visit with the shop owner, learn a new game and pick up a special something to enjoy!

5. Enjoy a Chocolate Cupcake or other Sweet Treat!

Below was one of our recent favorites! This Vegan Brownie Cupcake with chocolate fudge frosting and cutie heart sprinkles on top was absolutely scrumptious! Yum!

6. Make Some Heart-Shaped Pizzas


Find that heart-shaped cookie cutter and if you want to make it super easy, you just need three basics:

  • Naan or pre-made pizza shell

  • Pizza sauce or marinara sauce

  • Cheese --mozzarella, cheddar, vegan - whatever you like!

Creating your own heart-shaped pizzas is simple and they always come out looking so cute...and are very tasty!

Some topping ideas that go along with the holiday:

  • Red peppers- roasted or fresh

  • Olives - 'Olive You A Lot'!

  • Hot sauce- Make sure it's got a nice bright red hue to it!

7. Play a Game That Goes with the Holiday!


We have the Mystery Date Game and the Chocolate Challenge from above!

8. Decorate for Valentine's Day!

It doesn't have to be expensive or even that coordinated!


We have dollar-store garlands, window decals, and a gnome that gets a makeover when the holiday changes!

Whatever gets you in the love-bug mood will do!


We have our seasonal gnome (above that we use for several holidays-accessorizing as needed!), a shimmery heart garland courtesy of the dollar store, our A-Door-able cards, and some Valentine's Day-themed papers put in colorful frames!


That red bear was a gift from the father/grandfather of this blogging duo and makes an appearance every Valentine's Day!

9. Watch a Fave Movie or Show

A favorite romantic comedy, I Love Lucy! or anything that warms your heart or puts a glow in your cheeks is the perfect choice for a fun Valentine's Day movie night!

10. Go For a Walk Together

Get outside, enjoy the fresh air and just keep it simple! Take a sweet selfie and print it out! Photos make the best keepsakes!

11. Grab Your Favorite Romantic Read

...and a cup of cocoa and get cozy! Happily ever afters are always nice- especially on Valentine's Day!

12. Make a Valentine's Day - Themed Playlist

There are endless songs about love and romance---pick your faves and put them on your phone or break out the vinyl to play on your record player! Valentine's Day is the perfect day to listen to something special!


While there are pre-set mixes out there, it's also nice to make your own personalized version!


They can be slow songs, jazzy, Disney, whatever sounds good to you! Or, pop on a vintage record for some romantic retro flair!

It's really quick to add some red and pink to your everyday look-and always turns out festive and fun! Just a hint of hearts or a pop of pink will do the trick!



A pink scrunchie, red sweater or heart necklace are all you need to put a Valentine's spin on your wardrobe!


Headbands, oversize clips or a cute pair of pink sunglasses are also fun ideas-even pink lip gloss!

14. Take a Few Photos to Capture the Day!

Whether it's a photo booth in the mall or a polaroid, snap a couple pics of you and your friends or fun things you did for your Valentine and print them out to keep!


We of course took many pics of the Valentine cards that we made to send out to friends and family!
